Insulin Fundamentals Symposium

Laketown Synergy successfully hosted the “Insulin Fundamentals” symposium on June 15, 2025 at Hotel Stadel, Kolkata, marking an important step forward in diabetes education. The event, supported by Novo Nordisk, brought together healthcare professionals including endocrinologists, physicians, and diabetes educators for an afternoon of focused learning. This symposium addressed critical aspects of diabetes management, particularly focusing on practical approaches to hyperglycemia control and insulin therapy, reflecting our shared commitment to improving patient care standards.

The program featured carefully curated sessions designed to provide maximum clinical value. The opening discussion on in-patient hyperglycemia management, moderated by Dr. Shyamasish Bandopadhyay, offered evidence-based protocols for hospital settings. Dr. Subhadip Pal and Dr. Souren Panja contributed valuable perspectives from their clinical practice, highlighting practical implementation considerations.

A particularly engaging segment was the case-based discussion on hyperglycemic emergencies led by Dr. Chandrasish Chakraborty and Dr. Yasish Peliwal. Their presentation of real clinical scenarios stimulated active participation and discussion among attendees, who found the practical examples particularly useful for their daily practice.

The scientific highlight was the NN Symposium presentation by Dr. Soumyabrata Roy Chaudhuri, who reviewed current evidence on next-generation insulin therapies. His clinically-oriented presentation, covering both efficacy data and practical administration guidelines, generated thoughtful discussion during the Q&A session that followed.

Laketown Synergy extends its sincere gratitude to Novo Nordisk for their continued partnership in supporting meaningful medical education initiatives. We are particularly thankful to our distinguished faculty – Drs. Bandopadhyay, Pal, Panja, Chakraborty, Peliwal, and Roy Chaudhuri – for sharing their expertise and contributing to this valuable educational experience.

The positive response from participants has reinforced the importance of such clinically relevant programs. Building on this success, Laketown Synergy remains committed to organizing more educational initiatives that address current challenges in diabetes management. We look forward to continued collaboration with healthcare professionals across the region as we work together to enhance diabetes care standards.

We invite all interested practitioners to join us in future programs as we strive to make a meaning
